This song shows how we have to step up and let God do whatever he has planed for us and just let it be! I love this song

this is awesome. A girl from the church choir sung it during the immaculate conception mass, and I cried. i kept saying, "yes Lord, let it be."

Beautiful! It really touched me. My mother lives with me and suffers depression. Sometimes I feel like I can't go on, taking care of her and my family and seeing her hurting so much. When I heard this song, it made me realize, I have to be like Mary and Joseph and let it be done unto me.

This song challenged me like no other song since "Here I Am, Lord" reached me 25 years ago. Many songs reach me and touch me but I am most moved by a song that asked God to lead me in his path. This is that song!

It's awesome!
1. When she heard the voice of God calling her to be the instrument he needed to bring our world the King of Kings, she could not understand the wisdom of God's plan, but still she answered: "Let it be. Let it be done unto me." 2. When he heard the voice of God calling him to stand and take the virgin as his wife and teach her child to be a man, he could not understand the wisdom of God's plan, but still he answered: "Let it be. Let it be done unto me." Refrain And we say: "Yes, Lord, we're ready to receive. Yes, Lord, we're ready to believe. Let it be. Let it be done unto me." 3. When we hear the voice of God calling out our names, Lord, we pray you give us faith to answer you in anything. And we may not understand the wisdom of your plan, but we will answer: "Let it be. Let it be 1done unto me."

Several years ago during the Christmas season, I started reflecting on Joseph as husband and father because I was struggling in my own role. I learned two of my children had some major medical problems and it hit me very hard. At one point, I even misdirected my anger towards God.
In my reflection, I realized that both Joseph and Mary probably struggled immensely at times, but they still said "yes" amidst the worst of circumstances. Personally, I cannot comprehend how horrible it must have been for Mary and Joseph to have powerful men literally trying to kill their child! I wonder if they ever questioned God's plan?
On the morning of the Feast of the Epiphany, I prayed to God and asked him to help me see and accept his plan for my family. It was that same Sunday morning that I wrote "Let It Be Done." I ended up singing it as a meditation at the teen Mass that night.
As I sang the words I had my own epiphany of sorts. God opened my heart and gave me a profound sense of peace, knowing that I will never see the future clearly. However, if I continue to say "yes," God will continually bless that act of faith and abandonment.
We may not understand the wisdom of God's plan but we will answer, "let it be done unto me!"
