Fall Renewal

So ends another summer, and another new beginning: fall. So, as the heat begins to dissipate and the mornings become cooler and cooler, let us renew our own commitment to the Lord and to the service of ministry.

We rested and played during the summer (and probably worked
too much again!), but with the renewal of our autumn schedules we must not forget who it is we serve: the Master, our Lord Jesus Christ, who showed us "the Way" by giving his all to all.

September will give way to October, and October to November, and before we know it, we will be celebrating the Solemnity of Christ the King. So we embrace his kingship today, in anticipation of that day, and we renew our resolve to live the Gospel daily and to serve the lowly and the poor in our midst. Jesus is Lord, Amen and Alleluia!

Never too young to work for justice;
never too young to be God’s Light!
